The topics covered in this session are:

  • David talked about the pricing when you go into outsourcing. Decision making – whether it has to be fast, cheap or good and should depend on your budget.
  • Art Remnet talked about the complexities of working with NAMS WP plugins. Investing a ton of money to keep your plugins to be the top drawer.
  • David discussed the tools you need for your business to automate certain processes. Find tools that help you save money, time and as a result, will give you profit and improve the quality of what you are doing.
  • Brian Basilico shared about the beauty and benefits of having Evernote app. David also shared a number of tools that he uses like the Prompt Smart Pro, Promos, Content Samurai, Longtail Pro, Itagzzz and others.
  • David talked about how summits can be labor-intensive. Having to organize everybody and creating a schedule and a lot of email communication involved which can be very difficult. And thinking of an idea to address all of these issues.
  • Amy Bair talked about the update she made in the NAMS Learning Center dashboard where she added a sticky menu. She gave everyone a walkthrough on how cool the changes were.

  • Jen starts the meeting talking about 3 mindset shifts she’s had in the past week that have already helped her increase productivity and add new revenue to the business.
  • Jen and David talk about a video project they are doing. It’s the biggest recording project they’ve done and Jen talks about how they planned the project, hired the videographer and the process they went through to write the scripts and record.
  • Members asked questions about how to find videographers in their area and how to get started with a low budget. Tameaka Shelton and Amy Bair shared their struggles with outsourcing and talked through what they’ve been doing to create a better experience for both themselves and the outsourcer.
  • David talked about how to map out your first project so it seems less overwhelming.
  • Jen made some suggestions on how to find contractors to work on single large projects like a website rebuild on a low budget.
  • Jeanne Kolenda talked about her outsourcing experience an how her business has grown with her team over the past 7 years.

  • The biggest mistake Jen made so far in looking to add a new team member for one specific position. She also talked about why it hasn’t worked and how a solution presented itself that she never considered at all.
  • Jen went through the process of what has happened in their business in the past few weeks with one of the top team members and some major success.
  • How to identify the first project to test with an outsourcer. Start with one project and getting a single position filled out, then measure the work ethic and initiatives. Find out how people react to situations.
  • The point of outsourcing is to make your life job easier and make more money. Making a profit center on the people you outsource to justify the cost of getting an outsourcer.
  • Determine what do you want your business to be in the future like a house blueprint, then figure out those repetitive things which can be done by an outsourcer to eliminate opportunity costs.
  • Insider’s member Cathy Chapman, shared how she got into outsourcing someone to help with her business. David gave some feedback on opportunities he saw on Cathy’s existing business process. Eliminating steps in your processes to get the task done seamlessly.

  • Jen introduced to everyone her special guest speakers for today’s session, Codi Quick and Mark Zalewski. Codi had a brief introduction on herself and on how she built her VA business. Mark shared that getting VA’s or partnering an agency like Codi to work on their routine tasks in their business may give them benefits.
  • Jen discussed the challenges she had before she ended up making the decision to get help from an outsourcing agency. Having documentation or checklists set in place eases the onboarding process of a new team member who will work for your business. You can grab Codi’s free checklist here: https://nams.ws/QBR
  • Collaboration or trust between you and your VA’s should exist and must have a better relationship in terms of communicating and making your business better. Expectations should be set properly and must have a total alignment with the person/s doing your business tasks, otherwise, it can be your biggest disappointment. Codi also shared why she ended up choosing a US-based team as opposed to getting anyone different from her timezone.
  • Insiders member Keith Watson raised some questions on how to reach out with your VA team and Codi gave brief answers to it. Communication is the key to streamlining your business processes and solving any issues. Insiders member Art Remnet also pointed out the cost entailed in outsourcing and Mark shared his thoughts on this.
  • Codi shared what she was doing prior to venturing into VA agency business. She also shared how big her staff is and how they were able to support her 27 existing clients. Finding the right person with a certain skill set that matches your need is really important.
  • David shared really quick on how making a relationship work with your outsourcing company. Relationships that you build with your people play an important role in the long term business success. Your revenue directly relates to your customer experience.

  • Insiders member Kat Sturtz, shared very quick her recent experience on Facebook. She became a hero for a day and saved a life.
  • Jen announced that we will have a special guest next session who is an expert in finding the best VA’s for your business and will give us some tips on the preparations that needs to be done before you get into outsourcing which will make your business successful. Jen also gave a walkthrough on how to navigate around the features of the New NAMS Learning.

  • Jen invited everyone to log in their accounts and see the New NAMS Learning Center. Jen is working with her newly hired Customer Experience consultant and will be sharing next week an orientation video for the new members’ area.

  • Jen gave some feedback on Insiders member Keith Watson’s funnel on his blog post. Fellow members shared their feedback and thoughts as well.

  • How to handle Social Media rejection? – Tameaka talked about the reasons behind on her recent post on the private FB group about whether the fear she was experiencing was fear of failure or fear of success.
  • Jen logged on to Tameaka’s site and demonstrated to the group how to create social media share links using Simple Click Tracker.

  • Jen also did an impromptu Canva demonstration to create a social media share image for Tameaka’s new membership site.

  • Jen showed then showed how to use the link she created in Simple Click Tracker can quickly be turned into a boosted post on Facebook. 

  • Jen also told everyone to watch out for the next Funnel Mastery Live event in Phooenix May 4-5, 2019.

  • Social Marketing Planning – It is not just advertising alone, but it is creating a shareable content that people wanted to engage with through the use of social media platforms. 
  • Insider Amy Bair share’s her thoughts on choosing the best social media platform for her business. Knowing where your people or customers are should point you to the right platform you must use.
  • Jen demonstrated how to create a Facebook post using a Free version of Yoast. Ideally, the links created should be saved and done via Simple Click Tracker for easy tracking and sharing. It is wise not to spend money on advertising if you cant determine or measure your numbers.
  • Jen announced the launching of NAMS New Learning Center on March 15, 2019. She gave everyone a sneak peek on what is going on from the backend, the preparation, and the layout designs. 
  • Version 2 of the New Learning Center will be implemented soon after the launch on Monday. This features intelligent automation in determining which path you should take throughout your learning and training
  • Jen also announced to everyone the possibility of another Live event this coming May in Phoenix

  • The Playbook vs. Funnels – Jen showed an example to the group and briefly discussed its structure. Laying out predictable processes with expected goals that you can tweak to improve as you get results.
  • Jen opens up on the survey funnel she is working with and how she uses the data being collected. Making the right questions which will tell us the most information that we need.
  • The purpose behind the NAMS Spotlight Series: Aside from getting more people to engage and re-engage, it allowed us to know exactly what people need while giving them value at the same time.
  • Surveys allow you to collect valuable information which helps you in segmenting your list. Jen encouraged everyone to make use of surveys in their businesses which could be a driving force in coming up with business decisions.
  • David announced that on March 15, NAMS will be doing a rebranding of the Learning Center which will focus on four things namely, Listbuilding, Email Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and Doing or Taking Action. This will figure out where people should fit so that appropriate training and course of action will be undertaken.
