Track Only What Matters So You Can Improve Without Overthinking

Most new creators waste time tracking the wrong things. Or they don’t track at all.

Today you’ll set up a simple system to measure what matters:

  • Are people clicking your links?
  • Are they signing up?
  • Are they buying?

You’ll walk through a prompt that gives you a custom checklist based on the platforms and traffic tools you’re using.

Task Prompt for Today:

Act as a traffic tracking assistant. Help me create a simple system to review my performance each week.

Ask me:

  1. What platforms am I posting on right now?
  2. What am I promoting most — a lead magnet or a paid offer?
  3. Am I running any paid traffic?
  4. Do I have a way to see link clicks, signups, or sales? (Bit.ly, email tool, Stripe, etc.)

Then help me create:

  • A short weekly checklist of what to review (example: check ConvertKit signups, view Bit.ly clicks)
  • A basic table or Notion page to log: date, source, clicks, opt-ins, and notes
  • One or two simple questions I can ask myself each week to adjust what I’m doing
