This is the most important question you can ask yourself when uncovering your Vision.

This is your preliminary Vision. Once you have more information, digging into additional discovery processes, you’ll refine this.

You may think you know what a Vision is but first let me tell you what it isn’t:
Okay, I bet that’s got you scratching your head.
When you create a clear Vision in your mind, you can call it up with just a couple of key words that mean something specific to you.
My words are Freedom and Flexibility.
(Later, I’ll tell you how I came to those words and what they mean, and how hard it is to stay focused on those.)
We have a process to help you discover your Vision.
You may not know you have a Vision, but you do. It’s subconscious. We’re going to pull it out.
More about what your Vision is:
It’s a written or visual image of a future state of being.
That future state of being is your ultimate self represented by:
Your Core Values work set the stage for this inquiry.
When uncovering your Vision, you must engage the imagination and be open to all possibilities.
We have no judgement about your Vision.
A Vision must encompass ALL of you.
It will pull you out of your comfort zone while expanding who you are.
If you’re the kind of person who only deals in reality, get over it. There will be time for that, but…
A Vision is about possibilities.
It’s not supposed to be realistic or even something that you presently believe you could achieve.
Imagine a genie coming out of a bottle and offering you the most desired reality in a specific category in your life. That picture is your Vision.
You change the habits that get in the way of that vision.
In the next lesson, I’ll give you a worksheet and a video to help you understand how to create your Vision.
Once you receive that, you’ll need a partner. He or she has only one job and that is to ask you only one question:
“And then what?”

This is not as easy as it sounds.
Nearly everyone is confused about core values. The reason is simple.
We are used to taking the easy way out.
Digging into your core values mean that you must know yourself pretty well.
Unfortunately, most of us are strangers with that person in the mirror. So, this week, you get to do a little inquiry.
Core Values are ESSENTIAL to your success in building a Vision, and a Vision is ESSENTIAL to building a Life that you are proud of and that you can sustain for a long time.
This involves a lot of preparation, focus and self-knowledge. Your Core Values, Vision, Current State, Only Statement and most importantly, Your Guiding Principles.
We’ll get to all of that one process at a time. When you master these, you’ll build a base of information that guides every decision you make, and you’ll make those decisions from a place that is without question driving you forward.
Don’t underestimate this because most people get it wrong.
We start with your Core Values.
You may think you know what they are, but every person who has ever gone through this process expressed how surprised they were with the results. Understanding your core values and building on that base is the first step in creating a decision framework that is simple, predictable and effective.
In other words, you never struggle with distractions again. Focus is your friend.
